As an immigrant, I proudly call Temecula home. With two suitcases and a dream, I arrived in America alone on a full scholarship to the University of Illinois at Chicago. Determined to build my future through hard work, I earned my PhD in Molecular Genetics in just four and a half years and went on to work as a scientist in antibody engineering and cancer research. After my first child was born, I chose to become a stay-at-home mom.

I didn’t just move to Temecula, I started my family here. My husband Daniel and I were married at the Chapel of Memories in Old Town, and we planted our roots in this community. Today, as a devoted wife, mother and educator, I believe strong families and a solid work ethic are the foundation of a thriving city. Like many of you, we work hard to provide for our children’s future, and we faced long commutes, worsening traffic, and rising costs. That’s why I’m running to be part of the solution and keep our community strong.
Becoming an American citizen was one of the proudest moments of my life. I wasn’t born here. I chose this country, its freedoms, opportunities, and commitment to self-government, and I have never taken that choice lightly. Born and raised in communist China, I know what life looks like without opportunity. I know what it means when people have no voice. And I know how special this country, and Temecula, truly are.

My commitment has led me to serve in my community including my church, Good News Club and Toastmasters. From 2019 to 2022, I served on the Board of Springs Charter School. From 2022 to 2025, I served as a commissioner on Temecula’s Community Services Commission, supporting parks and programs that benefit local residents and families. I was elected by my fellow commissioners as the Vice Chair and Chair in 2024 and 2025, respectively. I'm proud to report that Community Services achieved a 90% satisfaction rate in 2025, based on a citywide survey. In addition, I have served as the president of my HOA board since 2018, ensuring fiscal responsibility and a safe neighborhood.Â
