Dr. Yuan Hawkes

for Temecula City Council 2026

I came to America with two suitcases and a dream. Today, I’m grateful to call America my country and Temecula my home.

Temecula is where I married my husband and started my family. Like many of you, we work hard to provide for our children’s future. We faced long commutes, worsening traffic, and rising costs. That’s why I’m running to be part of the solution and keep our community strong.

As a scientist with a Ph.D., educator, community leader, wife, and mother, I didn’t set out to run for elected office. But over time, experience and evidence have made the path clear. I believe the gift of citizenship, with its freedom and opportunity, also comes with a responsibility to serve. There is no better moment than America's 250th Anniversary to bring a fresh perspective and a stronger future to Temecula!

Faith, family, and service guide the way I live and lead.
